Flexible Rural Bus Service

A new type of bus service for the rural communities of Elphinstone, New Winton, Ormiston, Pencaitland, Glenkinchie, East Saltoun, West Saltoun and Humbie where passengers book trips in advance. This allows a much wider area to have access to a bus service rather than a poorly used fixed service.

Service DRT1 provides a direct connection with Service 109 for travel into Tranent, Blindwells, Longniddry, Haddington and the East Lothian Community Hospital.



How to Book a Journey

All Journeys must be booked in advance -Bookings can be made either by calling - 01620 822620 or by completing the booking form below.

Bookings can be made:
• Between 09:00 and 15:00 Mondays to Friday or anytime online but no later than 15:00 on the working day before travel.
• Booking requests can be made up to 30 days in advance of travel and are taken on a first come first served basis..

If bookings cannot be accommodated intending passengers would be offered an alternative time or date.
Passengers will be uplifted and set down at any bus stop or any point outwith 30mph zones on the marked roads where it is safe to do so.
